Ducklings

We got to babysit the ducklings from Drew's class today/tonight. All I can say is that if ever your child bring home a paper saying would you be able to watch the ducklings for a night say no. They are so messy and all they do is peep, peep, peep. I do have to say thank goodness it was a nice day. We let them wander around the yard for a while they loved the water(of course the are ducks). When it was time to put into the box they pooped every where. The instructions on how to care for the ducklings said only to change the newspaper once a day that is crazy we have already changed it like four times. I would have never signed up for this knowing it was going to be like this. Besides the fact Drew could care less they are here and he doesn't even want to touch them(fear of getting bitten). Well you live and learn now I know to check the no box when Pete brings home this paper.

I love that Natalie says "we" when referring to changing the duck poop newspapers at the bottom of the cage. ...and I didnt even sign up for anything....guess when you are a Dad/Husband you get signed up for all kinds of odd jobs...its a good thing I happen to love duck poop.

that reminds me of when blake had the only parents nieve enough to think that signing up for the class pet rat was a good idea, but they were, and they ended up with templeton in the dining room, cage and all. it was very interesting living with a real live rat with a huge tail, but we did and we are still living today, and hey, i still get to tell the story.
